NAPIT refers to The National Association of Professional Inspectors and Testers. Being NAPIT registered means we have the essential qualifications needed for any electrical testing you may require. We are what is known as a Part P electrician.
We are primarily based in the Blackpool area, however we can happily accommodate works in other areas. We cover the majority of the North West, call us today to find out how soon we can get out to you.
The likelihood is that you're having problems with your electrics and following a fault find, a re-wire has been suggested whether that be full or partial. However, it is also possible that you have had some electrical testing done as a legal requirement or recommendation and it has then been noted that a re-wire is needed.
If you are a landlord then the short answer is yes. New regulations brought in by the government in January 2020 stated you are required by law to have electrical testing carried out, otherwise known as an EICR. If you are unsure, feel free to get in touch for more advice or you can find more information here.
You may have heard of an EICR or had one done on your property if you own/live in a rented property. EICR stands for Electrical Installation Condition Report and these were made mandatory by the government in January 2020. The certificate lasts for 5 years and can be carried out by most NAPIT or NICEIC registered contractors.
When each home is built and wired it has a certain number of circuits. The number of circuits is generally based off the size of the property including how many rooms and its square footage. Unfortunately sometimes you can outgrow this resulting in the need for additional circuits to accommodate your properties electrical needs.
